INTRODUCTION
Welcome
to the Office of Multicultural Student Services
(OMSS). OMSS is a part of the Student Equity,
Excellence, and Diversity (SEED) program, under
the Office of Student Affairs at the University
of Hawai'i at Manoa. Formerly known as Operation
Manong (est. 1971), OMSS focuses on outreach activities
encouraging individuals from underrpresented groups
and underserved communities to seek higher education,
providing university students opportunities to
experience Hawai'i's multicultural contexts, conducting
activities promoting cross-cultural understanding
and social justice, and promoting the development
of and provide a clearinghouse for information
and resources related to Hawai'i's multiethnic
groups.
