Kule'a
Program
Kule'a promotes the recruitment and transfer of
Native Hawaiians and members of other disadvantaged
groups or underserved communities to UHM. To accomplish
this task, Kulea has adobpted the following approaches:
1.
Develop a community-based recruitment strategy
that utilizes existing community resources and
adapts to their needs.
2.
Pormote the transition and transfer of Native
Hawaiian and other disadvantaged community college
students to UHM by disseminating information and
informal advising.
3.
Reach out to students who have "stepped out"
of higher education to develop strategies for
re-enrollment at UHM.
Kule'a
produces a report which includes updates and information
about the program. You may find out more information
about the Kule'a Report by clicking here.
